How to hide the last logged in user in Windows 10 using the registry editor

A. Process to change the registry key value using the command line:

REG ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v dontdisplaylastusername /d 1 /t REG_DWORD /f

       B. Process to change the registry key value using the GUI:

Step 01: Type regedit in the search bar or in Run and then Open Registry Editor as an Administrator

Step 02: Go to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem

Step 03: change the value of the DWORD 32 key named “dontdisplaylastusername” to 1
