How to fix Windows 10 boot failure issue

 

Step 01: Boot from USB/DVD-based Windows 10 recovery media or operating system setup then click Next after selecting your required language.

 

 

Step 02: Click Repair your computer as shown below.

 

 

Step 03: Select Troubleshoot

 

 

Step 04: Select Advanced Options

 

 

Step 05: Click on Command Prompt as shown below to open the command prompt.

 

 

 

 

Step 06: Type Diskpart to open the disk management command line utility

Step 07: To access the hidden partition for the EFI boot loader/BCD file type the below commands in sequence as shown in the 

                below screenshot.

 

                List Disk

                Select Disk 0

                List Volume

                Select Volume 3

                Assign letter=E

                Exit

 

 

 

 

 

Step 08: Run the below command to fix boot record

               

               cd /d E:\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\

               bootrec /FixBoot

 

Step 09: To rebuild the BCD file run the below commands in sequence.

 

ren BCD BCD.old

bcdboot c:\Windows /l en-us /s <boot letter>: /f All

 

After performing the above steps restart the system and boot from the hard disk it should boot now normally.
